FINALLY!
And thanks to everyone who has waited so patiently and encouraged me so much! Who knows how long it wouldn't have taken me if you guys hadn't prodded me on so much! ;)

Okay here's the approximate stats:
5 foot long x 2 foot tall
Size 14 aida (cornflower blue)
Approximately 200 hours
397 yards of 3-strand thread
About 23 skeins
Just under 50,000 stitches
15 colors and some metallic gold accents

Yes I took some artistic liberty on some things. I admit it. :P
Heck, I even changed my pattern a couple of times after I started. Even after I had stitched some in a couple of places *wince* I hate taking out stitches! *shudder*

Design is mine but of course the characters are all Nintendo's.

Looks AMAZING. You must be so relieved to be finished. I would say upload a couple details... even if it's just the pirhana plant, or princess peach. :P

I think you should, after all the time you put in. :D

Thanks so much! I really appreciate everyone's lovely comments! It means a lot on a work of this...... MAGNITUDE. lol Looking at it now I can't believe I was ever brave enough to start it, let alone finish it! :)

It's finished, and it's so amazing! Looking at it, you can tell every inch of how long it took, and the design is ingenious, too. It looks ripped straight from an old strategy guide. ^^ This is one of the coolest cross stitches I've seen.

I think you should send a picture of this to Nintendo! They might send you a letter back saying that they're putting it in their in-house magazine or something for their workers to see! Seriously, Do it!

This, my darling, is the best cross stitch I have ever, ever, seen! You should send piccies of it to stitching magazines too! You'd definately be the star letter - and may get some prizes! What a lovely way to treat yourself after all this hard work.

I think that this might have driven me crazy, but you're a superstar! I just <3 this so much that I want one too! Make me one please!!!!! ;)
